New improvements, event notifications, and more are here in Content Controller’s latest release
If you are someone who is looking to make Content Controller work for you, or maybe you need to make your courses more dynamic, our latest update is for you.
Streamline Content Controller data with Webhooks
Content Controller 4.0 has a new tool for automating your distribution workflow a bit more. With Webhooks, you can streamline how you collect event information by having Content Controller send data when events happen. This can be set up through the Content Controller UI or the API.
What you do with the data returning to your system of choice is up to you! If you get wind of a new course completion or launch, you can use Webhooks to get notified of when these things happen and get the accompanying data to take action. These Webhook options and more are available in the latest release.
Add that personal touch with Lead-in Pages
Sometimes you need that little extra something before a course starts. Maybe it is a disclaimer, or you want to collect information or documentation. Whatever you are looking for your learners to do before a course, Lead-in Pages can help.
This feature came from a customer request as they were trying to collect additional learner data before the actual course. The new Lead-in Page feature allows you to load a self-hosted web page before the learner enters the course. This page is loaded within the course frame and they’ll head back to the course once finished with the Lead-in Page.
The best part is you can get started in Content Controller right from the UI. This tool can be used in many different ways, but here are some that we think could be helpful.
- Terms and conditions acceptance
- Brand style alignment
- Data collection
- Learner engagement
- Distribute external course materials
Making the future more solid with Vue
Do you remember that scene in The Wizard of Oz where behind the curtain, there are a bunch of things happening in the background that make the Wizard look powerful? This is kind of like what Vue is for Content Controller.
Content Controller switched from an aging JS framework to the bright and shiny new Vue.js framework. All the jargon aside, moving over to the Vue framework sets up Content Controller to be more up-to-date technologically and secure overall. It also aligns with Rustici’s commitment to bringing you secure and innovative products.
