Hey Andy,

I have a handful of SCORM 2004 3rd edition content packages that I need to import. The problem is that my company’s LMS does not support SCORM 2004 3rd edition.

Do you have a solution that suits our needs? We’re looking for a quick fix to deploy this training to employees across the globe within the next few weeks.

Thanks,
Looking for a quick fix

Hey Looking for a quick fix,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m happy to help. It sounds like you’re looking to make your content compatible so it plays in your current LMS without having to worry about the eLearning standard your courses were originally created in. Good news! We have a few options that can help.

Quickly get incompatible content into your LMS with SCORM Cloud Dispatch

Since you only have a handful of content packages that you’re trying to import (and you’re on a tight schedule), my recommendation is SCORM Cloud Dispatch. First, you’ll import that SCORM 2004 3rd edition content into your SCORM Cloud account. Then, use the Dispatch feature to export the content back out as a small .zip package in a format that any LMS can accept: SCORM, AICC, xAPI, or LTI. Voila! You’re no longer limited to what standards your LMS supports.

You can get started immediately with pay-as-you-go monthly plans and no startup fees. You can find pricing for SCORM Cloud here and even sign up for a free trial today.

Centrally host and deliver content to any LMS with Content Controller

We also offer another option if you foresee having a growing or ongoing need to convert your content library, rather than a quick-fix solution to meet a short timeline. Content Controller is a web-based application that lets you centrally host your content and seamlessly deliver content to any LMS that supports SCORM, AICC, and LTI. When you upload a course to Content Controller, it’s immediately available to every other connected platform. Not only will you save time administering the courses, but you also get built-in multi-language support and consolidated usage reports across all learners in every system.

Check out our comparison of Content Controller and SCORM Cloud Dispatch to get a side-by-side comparison.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I’m happy to schedule some time to walk you through Content Controller and SCORM Cloud Dispatch to help you determine which option is the best fit for your needs.

Best,
Andy
