When I took over as CEO of Rustici Software 10 months ago, I had a handful of items that I put on my list of “Most Important Work”. The majority of that list is pretty uninteresting; it’s all of the things you’d expect. However, one item appears much higher on that list than you might imagine.

Make sure Rustici Software continues to be an unbelievably great place to work.

We recently learned that we once again made the Nashville Business Journal’s list of Best Places to Work and we couldn’t be happier. This annual award is one of the many ways we measure ourselves to make sure we, as a business, are doing the right things. One of the most important things is continuing to be a company where great people want to work.

Many of us came to Rustici Software looking for a place that valued us as people; a place that cared about our well being as well as our work. Creating and maintaining that kind of work environment is difficult and requires buy-in from everyone. It’s not something a leader creates on their own nor does it occur overnight. Over the years, Mike Rustici and Tim Martin built the foundation that is the core of who we are and I’m proud to say their legacy lives on by receiving this award for the 10th time.

I can’t thank all of the people that work here enough for their efforts in making sure we continue to be a “Best Place to Work”.
