It was a dark and stormy afternoon at the Rustici office just outside Nashville. No, this isn’t a cliché start to a novel, but rather how my fellow Rusticians discovered my love for weather. Much to my surprise, what began as me sharing that tornadoes were in our forecast, would eventually turn into an educational Slack channel and even a public weather page.

And much like life, the cool new things our customers use our software for sometimes surprises us, too.

Content Controller and partner training

Did you know Content Controller was originally born from a tradeshow conversation with SANS Institute about their content distribution challenges? It was originally designed to help content publishers and training companies sell and distribute content to their customers. Over time, what we’ve also seen is a growing number of companies, organizations and associations that need to reach their partners and clients with their product training as well, which is a fantastic use case, but not one we originally predicted.

Starting your own partner education program, also known as an extended enterprise program, can provide your organization with amazing benefits. Multiple studies have found that companies with formalized programs provide increased revenue, improved customer retention and decreased support costs.

However, there are some technical considerations to understand as you develop your program. For instance, reaching more customers and partners where they are means you likely will also start adding more Learning Management Systems (LMSs), eLearning standards and other learning technologies into the mix. And all those systems and standards don’t always play nicely together.

To help our customers – and anyone in learning and training departments – overcome these technical challenges, we released our latest eBook, Launching Your Customer Education Program: Technical Considerations for Taking Training to Your Partners! You’ll discover the benefits of starting your own program, insights into what challenges may arise along the way and how solutions like Content Controller can support your organization’s business goals. Check it out for free today or reach out with any questions you have about implementing your own partner education program. And be sure to check out Alarm.com’s case study to see how they usesContent Controller to streamline distributing training content to their partners and technicians.
