Import, play and track eLearning standards-based course packages

Integrate a standards-based training content player

If you need to import, launch and track SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, LTI 1.1, LTI 1.3, xAPI or cmi5 content in your LMS, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re building a new application, adding functionality to an existing platform or replacing a legacy SCORM player, we can help. Our integrated player connects to your platform via an API and deployment options include on-premise, managed hosting and SaaS.

Process Content

Improve content library management in your application

Customer content can be unorganized, coming from a multitude of sources and possibly switching hands many times. Rustici Generator helps customers fill in the gaps for content metadata and then lets them search inside their proprietary content. Ultimately, allowing you to empower customers to deliver more personalized and effective learning experiences.

  • Parse course packages and content files to see inside

Rustici Generator allows your customers to see inside their eLearning content by breaking down all the text within eLearning course packages or content files.

  • Fill in the blanks with metadata and question suggestions

Reduce the hours customers spend on manually populating course metadata so they can spend more time on the important things and easily find the courses needed, just in time.

  • Dig deeper with semantic and lexical searching

Rustici Generator helps boost your platform’s search capabilities so customers can search for specific phrases and words from inside their content.

Share content with 3rd-party learning tools

Integrate seamless training distribution

While you may have the best LMS, LXP, or other learning tool around, sometimes your customers need a way to keep their content in your system but share it to another application. Our software solutions support remotely hosted content that is then shared using a proxy package, so your users continue to enjoy your platform but also get their training wherever it needs to go.

We have two tools that can help support training content distribution:

  • Rustici Dispatch – A fully integrated tool that allows for the sharing, licensing, versioning, and reporting of your users’ course packages.
  • Content Controller – With dedicated hosting, you can either set things up in the UI or automate with the API and allow for quick and easy, large-scale training distribution.
  • SCORM Cloud – Wanting to get up and running on your own? SCORM Cloud is our SaaS application, allowing you to get up and running with the basics of Rustici Dispatch with or without the API.

I have no desire to reinvent the wheel, and no desire to make our own solution when something else is already out there that works well for our tech and our team. Ultimately, purchasing Rustici Engine was a no-brainer for us.

Convert content to comply with eLearning Standards

Do your customers require a built-in content creation tool in your LMS? If so, they’ll expect the courses they build in your system to work in other systems too. Our content conversion software, Rustici Driver, lets you easily add the ability to publish content created in your system to SCORM, AICC, xAPI or cmi5 to meet your customers’ needs.

Use Learning Record Store to support xAPI statements

To truly support xAPI (or Tin Can if you prefer), you’ll need to add a Learning Record Store (LRS) to your application. Once an LRS is integrated, you’ll be able to support modern features like content curation, learning paths, informal learning, learning analytics and cmi5 support. To get started, check out the Rustici LRS, an ADL-conformant, on-premise LRS that can be fully integrated into a larger application.

Support xAPI with Rustici LRS

The partnership with the team at Rustici Software played a key role in the overall success of Learn’s ability to deliver SCORM content. We rely on the Rustici Engine to handle all of the details when it comes to supporting SCORM in Learn. In doing so, our teams are able to commit more time and resources to improving the overall Learn platform.
