How do content connectors work?
A new API was added to Rustici Engine 2019.1 to retrieve lists of content from third-party services. Taking it one step further, we extended Engine’s import API to support importing content directly from those services. Content connectors combines both of these new features into a single API that lets you search across content libraries and import, play, and track that content in Rustici Engine.
How do I get started?
In order to make use of the new content connector functionality, you will have to purchase a connector for each third-party service that you want access to.
YouTube
YouTube is one of the largest free, online video-sharing sites. Our API enables you to import a YouTube video by its URL and deliver it to learners with the same results that Rustici Engine provides with it’s native MP4 video support.
Vimeo
Vimeo is a growing online video-sharing platform. Our API enables you to import a Vimeo video by its URL and deliver it to learners with the same results that Rustici Engine provides with it’s native MP4 video support.
