Identifying when to use each product

Content Controller, Rustici Dispatch and Rustici Cross Domain are each great products for helping you centrally manage and distribute content.

  • Content Controller

Content Controller is an enterprise, web-based application that allows you to centrally host eLearning content and seamlessly deliver it to hundreds of LMSs. The Content Controller application makes it easy to update versions of a course across platforms, enforce content licenses, view automated reports, access in-depth content analytics and easily manage multiple languages. If you want to centralize your training content and distribute it to multiple 3rd party LMSs from a single, dedicated platform, Content Controller is a fit for you.

  • Rustici Dispatch

Rustici Dispatch connects with your application via an API to help you share existing standards-based content with 3rd party platforms. Rustici Dispatch is a fit for those looking to add distribution functionality to an existing application. Dispatch works by allowing your application to create a proxy file of the eLearning content hosted in your platform (whether SCORM, xAPI, cmi5 or AICC) and share that proxy file with third-party LMSs.

  • Rustici Cross Domain

Rustici Cross Domain (RXD) helps content providers whose content is best housed on their servers share it with third-party systems. Like Rustici Dispatch, RXD works by generating proxy files that point back to the original content. Unlike Rustici Dispatch, RXD is a better fit for content providers whose content does not easily, or already, conform to SCORM, xAPI, cmi5 or AICC.
